Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia discuss prospects for enhancing relations in religious field

Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli has today met Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Musaid bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Salim to discuss the prospects for enhancing relations in religious field.
Mr Gurbanli offered condolences to the Ambassador over the death of hundreds of pilgrims in the stampede during the 'Stoning of the Devil' ritual in Mina.
They hailed the bilateral ties between the two countries, and discussed ways of enhancing cooperation between religious authorities.
On behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ambassador thanked President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his attention and condolences, describing this as a sign of the two countries’ mutual support.
