Azerbaijan starts with 5 medals in 2012 Cadet World Championship
Baku, August 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers garnered 5 medals on the first day of the 2012 Cadet World Championships, which started on Tuesday here in the Sport and Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev.
Wrestlers Joshqun Mammadov weighing in at 42 kg and Jahid Hasanzadeh in at 58 kg mounted the highest step on the podium winning the gold medals of the competition.
Another Azerbaijani athletes Ruslan Suzkayev in at 50 kg and Chermen Bagayev in at 85 kg won silver, while Samir Sadullayev has taken the bronze medal in the men`s 69 kg weighting category.
The Championship brought together wrestlers from 41 countries of the world.
