Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency staff joins Singapore International Water Week

The Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), held under the theme “Flood-Resilient Cities – Adapting to Climate Change,” has officially commenced.
The summit aims to assess the preparedness of cities for floods and extreme weather events, foster discussions on pathways to resilience, facilitate experience sharing, and bring together key representatives from municipalities, public utilities, and the industrial sector.
The three-day event features high-level panels, thematic forums, exhibitions showcasing climate adaptation solutions, and technical site visits.
Held in conjunction with the 41st International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) World Congress, the summit is expected to gather approximately 250 experts and representatives from over 40 cities worldwide.
Azerbaijan is represented by Elchin Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Regional Water Reclamation Service of the State Water Reserves Agency; Vugar Hajiyev, Head of the Department of Operation of Electromechanical Devices of the United Water Supply Service of Large Cities; and Babek Mammadov, Chief Engineer of the Directorate of Facilities Under Construction.
The event will continue until June 25.
