AZERBAIJAN TRADE UNIONS ORGANIZATIONS GAINING AUTHORITY
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation /ATUC/, deputy of Milli Majlis Sattar Mehbaliyev met the Secretary General of International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers' Unions (ICEM) Fred Higgs and Secretary for Eastern Europe Andrй Mrost.
Sattar Mehbaliyev expressed satisfaction with ICEM activity in Azerbaijan, told on significance of General collective agreement signed between the government and ATUC and other issues, AzerTAj correspondent reports.
Fred Higgs highly appreciated long-term relations of Azerbaijan with the organizations of relevant trade unions and stressed the necessity of further expansion of these links. He noted that Azerbaijan trade unions gained authority among the similar structures of the world and stressed the necessity of joining efforts for much more improvement of the work in that area.
