Azerbaijani banks state of readiness to finance energy efficiency

Baku, June 22 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijani banks are already applying the financing for improving energy efficiency, especially small and medium-sized businesses, which is practicing by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) quite recently.

A representative of one of the banks involved in the process has stated that lending for energy efficiency at the level of small and medium-sized businesses has been actually applied, in any case, fragmentary.

Such products will be developed by Bank Respublika with assistance of the IFC and AccessBank with support of EBRD. In addition to Bank Respublika and AccessBank, no one Azerbaijani bank has shown so far a real interest to such promising industry as energy efficiency.
