Baku, June 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani grand masters Nijat Mammadov, Zeynab Mammadyarova and Turkan Mammadyarova are competing in the 8th annual international chess tournament in Teplice, the Czech Republic.

The tournament, to run from June 15 till 23, gathered together 158 chess players from 16 countries, including 18 grand masters.

After the three rounds, Nijat Mammadov leads the table with 3 points.

It is a 9 round Swiss system tournament with 90 minutes per 40 moves + 30 minutes until end of game with 30-second bonus per each move since start.

The players may agree on a draw only after 30 moves (Sofia Rule).

The total prize fund will be 110.000 Czech Korunas (approx. 5.600 USD) with 33.000 CZK reserved for the winner.
