Azerbaijani, Finnish FMs discuss cooperation within OSCE

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto on the margins of the 28th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm.

The FMs discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as existing cooperation within international organizations, including the OSCE.

Finland's initiative to chair the OSCE when the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act is celebrated in 2025 was noted with satisfaction.

Minister Bayramov informed his counterpart in detail about the current situation in the region, the work carried out in various formats to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the basis of norms and principles of international law, as well as steps taken to implement the trilateral statements.

The ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
