Azerbaijani first lady visits some facilities in Khazar region
Baku, March 1 (AZERTAC). First lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP from the Khazar district Mehriban Aliyeva visited some facilities to be reconstructed in Baku`s districts of Bina, Turkan, Shuvalan and Buzovna.
First lady Aliyeva first visited Imam Rza Mosque in Bina. She met with residents here. Akhund of the mosque Haji Hasan expressed gratitude to President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the projects being implemented here.
The first lady gave recommendations concerning resolution of existing problems. Mrs. Aliyeva pointed out that the aim of the projects being implemented here is to provide better living conditions for people.
The first lady told of the work being done in the district. She said new schools, center of culture were built in Bina, the library was reconstructed with electricity and gas lines laid.
Mehriban Aliyeva saw the photographs depicting the mosque before its reconstruction. After the appeal of the Bina public to the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, reconstruction of the mosque began in September 2012 and is expected to end in first half of the current year.

First lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the kindergarten No285 in the district of Bina. She was told that the building constructed in 1986 has never been repaired. The kindergarten is the only one in the area. Because of its poor conditions, functioning of the kindergarten is impossible. At the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the construction of the new building for the kindergarten began here.

After arrive in the district of Turkan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with the residents and made inquiries about their problems. She underscored that construction of the second kindergarten in Turkan has begun. Mrs. Aliyeva noted that all schools of the Khazar region are being constructed in line with new modern standards. Mehriban Aliyeva noted that necessary steps to develop entrepreneurship will be undertaken in the years to come - a move needed to open new jobs here.
The residents thanked President Ilham Aliyev and the first lady for the attention and care.
Then, the first lady got familiar with construction progress of the new kindergarten, which is scheduled to be put into operation in September this year.

The first lady also visited the boarding school No2 for deaf and hearing-impaired children in the district of Shuvalan.
The boarding school built in 1963 needs overhaul.
Mehriban Aliyeva met with the residents of the district. She said that educational institutions, cultural centers and other facilities are being rebuilt in the district. Mrs. Aliyeva underscored the importance of high-quality education for kids.

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva visited the boarding school No4 for handicapped children and those without parental care in Shuvalan.
The first lady was informed that the building for 136 pupils was constructed in 1964. It needs overhaul. She pledged that the boarding school would be overhauled.
Mehriban Aliyeva talked to kids and saw their works.

The first lady visited the kindergarten No 246 in Buzovna.
She was told that the building has not been repaired since its construction in 1985. The facility does not have a heating system and is in poor conditions.
Mehriban Aliyeva noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is planning to reconstruct the kindergarten.
Mrs. Aliyeva gave recommendations concerning reconstruction works and provision of the facility with all technical and visual aids.
