Azerbaijani, Italian MPs meet in Baku

Azerbaijani MPs, including head of the international relations and inter-parliamentary ties committee at Azerbaijan`s parliament Samad Seyidov have met members of Italian Senate.
Mr. Seyidov highlighted “developing ties” between Azerbaijan and Italy. On cooperation in international organizations, Mr. Seyidov thanked Italy for supporting Azerbaijan, particularly its territorial integrity.
He touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, expressing regret over the fact that Armenia refuses to honour the four resolutions of the UN Security Council that demand immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.
Deputy hHead of the committee Sevinj Fataliyeva highlighted what has been done in the past few years to strengthen Azerbaijani-Italian ties.
The members of the Italian Senate said they were interested in studying the experience of Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.
