Azerbaijani MPs hold series of meetings in Belgium

A group of Azerbaijani MPs led by chairman of the standing commission on international relations and inter-parliamentary ties Samad Seyidov have held a number of meetings and discussions as part of theit visit to Belgium.
Azerbaijani MPs, co-chair of the Azerbaijan-EU Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee Javanshir Feyziyev and head of the Azerbaijani delegation to Euronest PA, Fuad Muradov were part of the delegation.
At a meeting with chair of the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Security and Defense Anna Fotyga the parliamentarians exchanged views on the security issues in the South Caucasus region, describing the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as an obstacle to ensuring peace and stability in the region, as well as the EU's closer involvement in ensuring peace in the region.
The Azerbaijani MPs also held meetings with members of the European Parliament, including Sandra Kalniete, Ivo Vajgl, Knut Fleckenstein and Heidi Hautala and exchanged views on the current state and further development of cooperation between the two parliaments.
