AZERBAIJANI OMBUDSWOMAN TO ATTEND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN WARSAW

Ombudswoman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova will head to Warsaw on May 15 to attend international conference on 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and 20th anniversary of Polish Ombudsman Institution.

Ombudspersons who will participate in the conference will report on current problems concerning human rights in their countries, and have exchange of experiences.

Azerbaijani ombudswoman will inform her colleagues about measures undertaken to improve condition of human rights in the country.

In Suleymanova`s previous visit to Warsaw, it was signed a bilateral agreement between Ombudsman offices of Azerbaijan and Poland on cooperation in the field of human rights. During the expected visit, she will discuss how the agreement is executed and future prospects for cooperation.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski and top officials from Seim and Senate are expected to join the international event.
