AZERBAIJANI PREMIER HOLDS MEETINGS IN TURKEY
As part of his visit to Turkey, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade met Wednesday with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The sides expressed satisfaction with the all-round cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
It was stressed Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project contribute to increasing welfare of both nations.
The same day, Artur Rasizade met with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Koksal Toptan. Mr. Toptan said developing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey should be an example for other countries. He stressed that Azerbaijani Premier’s current visit would contribute to further strengthening of the bilateral relations. The Speaker also added that he would visit Baku to attend ceremonies to be held on the occasion of the Azerbaijan Parliament’s 90th anniversary.
Azerbaijani Prime Minister also met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul. The president said fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey would contribute to further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The sides also exchanged views on perspectives of cooperation between the two countries.
