Azerbaijani youth meets in Saint Petersburg
Moscow, March 31 (AZERTAC). Members of the youth organization Azerbaijani Diaspora Organization of Saint Petersburg of the Regional Public Organization met with a delegation of leaders of the youth movement of Azerbaijan headed by MP Sevinj Fataliyeva.
Speaking at the meeting Fataliyeva, Secretary General of the National Council of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan Seymur Huseynov, Chairman of the Central Auditing Committee of the Ireli organization Khagani Farajev, chairman of the student youth organization Nargiz Huseynova told of the public youth policy in Azerbaijan, international ties of youth organizations.
One of the most important objectives of such meetings is to establish closer ties among Azeri compatriots in CIS countries. The delegation is visiting Saint Petersburg as part of the first meeting of the CIS youth interparliamentary assembly on the basis of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Diaspora of Saint Petersburg Heydar Imanov noted that one of the important areas of the organization`s activity is the work with young compatriots. In particular, the system of search and selection of the gifted youth among compatriots has been realized to provide their education in the higher educational institutions of Saint Petersburg. The scientific and educational consortium Smolny University gives classes in Azerbaijani for the first time in the CIS area.
The meeting was also addressed by representative of Azerbaijan to the CIS IPA, deputy secretary general of the organization Aydin Jafarov who was an initiator of the international youth assembly.
