Azerbaijan`s Akkord HC wins EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge II event
Baku, May 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s field hockey team Akkord HC promoted to EuroHockey Club Challenge I, Men, 2014, after winning a high scoring game v Denmark Soerbymagle at the final day of the EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge II event held in Athens, Greece.
Akkord HC recorded a big wins over Swedish Partille SC, Slovakian KPH Raca and Portugal Associaçao Academica de Espinho in Group B of the trophy.
President of Greek Field Hockey Federation honored the Azerbaijani team with gold medal and a cup.
Akkord HC won Challenge IV, Challenge III and Challenge II events of the European tournaments in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport named Akkord HC as “the best club team” in 2012.
