Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Italy visits Naples
Baku, January 1 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Italy Vaqif Sadiqov has visited Naples, the capital of Campania and the third-largest municipality after Rome and Milan.
Sadiqov met Mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris.
The Ambassador briefed the Mayor on socio-economic development of his country, as well as various directions of relationship between Azerbaijan and Italy.
Touching upon relations between Baku and Naples, the diplomat said there were good opportunities to establish cooperation in economic, cultural, educational, tourism and other spheres.
Luigi de Magistris, in turn, said both cities, which have rich history and culture were among world heritage sites. He also said they were interested in development of cooperation between the two cities.
Vagif Sadiqov also met businessmen of ASSIMEA Union. The diplomat spoke about economic relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, as well as business climate in his country.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani ambassador also met head of the eighth municipality of Naples, lawyer Angelo Pisani. The diplomat also gave an interview to “Il Denaro” and “Koryere del Metsocorno” magazines.
