AZERBAIJAN`S PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV IMPRESSED US, KEN SEIDBERG

We were deeply impressed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Ken Seidberg, an Arizona attorney, shared his impressions with the website of “Jewish News” paper after his Azerbaijan trip.

In November 2007, a delegation of America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) including Seidberg met with President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

According to Ken Seidberg Azerbaijan embarked on the course of democracy after restoring its independence following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

He said one of the members at the parliament of Azerbaijan is Jewish.

Seidberg described Azerbaijan as a country which is “blessed with extraordinary oil deposits”.

He said it has good diplomatic relations with Israel, and is home to about 15,000 or 20,000 Jews.
