AZERI MPs ATTEND IMF SEMINAR IN VIENNA
Delegation of Azerbaijani parliamentarians led by chairman of the Parliament`s standing commission for economic policy Ziyad Samadzade attended the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) seminar on Macroeconomic Policies in Vienna.
Along with Azerbaijan, the seminar gathered parliamentarians from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
IMF experts made reports on budget and social, economic and financial situation in the three countries.
Issues discussed during the seminar included fiscal policies and reforms, financial sector reforms, integration into international financial system, business climate and global and regional economic integration.
The head of the Azeri delegation made a report on results of his country`s economic policy and usage of oil revenues.
Samadzade said IMF has been successfully cooperating with Azerbaijan for long years.
He stated Azerbaijan is developing its economy, strengthening its financial institutions and participating in transnational projects.
Samadzade said oil revenues enter the country’s budget and are managed by the State Oil Fund.
