Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Russia business forum
Baku, July 10 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) has organized the Azerbaijan-Russia business forum.
Supported by Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development, the event brought together representatives of industrial, agricultural, ICT, financial, banking, energy and consulting companies.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev hailed Azerbaijan-Russia relations.
He said 479 Russian companies are working in Azerbaijan, adding last years saw Russia allocate $468 million in Azerbaijan`s economy.
Mustafayev said that under President Ilham Aliyev`s order he visited Northern Caucasus region of the Russian Federation to examine investment opportunities of the region.
“Today`s forum is the next step towards expansion of economic relations between Azerbaijan and regions of the Russian Federation,” he noted.
Ingush Prime Minister Musa Chiliyev said Ingushetia is interested in expansion of relations with Azerbaijan. He provided an insight into investment opportunities of Ingushetia.
The event featured presentations by head of AZPROMO Rufat Mammadov and Deputy Prime Minister of Ingushetia Pavel Pushin on economy, business and investment opportunities of the two countries.
