The 6 October sitting of the Milli Majlis /Parliament/ Standing Commission for Agrarian Policy was focused on the draft law “On Family Farm”. Chair of the Committee Eldar Ibrahimov noted that the law is aimed at establishment of legal, economic and organizational bases for the family farms, creation of favorable conditions for the villagers to use effectively their lands, and therefore, improvement of their living conditions and poverty reduction. The bill will determine the legal status of 846 thousand families who, having expanded their economies, do not have the possibilities to apply advanced technologies and be socially secured. The sitting participants decided to submit the bill to the Milli Majlis for discussion.
