BSEC COUNTRIES MINISTERS OF EDUCATION MEETING
The meeting participants visited grave of the national leader, world-known political figure Heydar Aliyev.
At the meeting with the participation of the representatives of state structures, heads of higher educational institutions, deputies of Milli Majlis, Ambassador of foreign countries in Baku, Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov conveyed greetings of President Ilham Aliyev.
It was noted that for today, about 1700 kindergartens, over 4500 secondary schools, 47 higher educational institutions are functioning, over 2500 foreigners taught in Universities as well.
In his speech, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammadguliyev highly appreciated BSEC activity, expressed confidence in further development of cooperation between the member-states.
BSEC Secretary General Valery Chechelashvili, Deputy Minister of National Education of Turkey Necdet Birinci, Minister of Education and Sciences of Georgia Alexander Lomaya, rector of Baku State University, corresponding member of NAS, President of Black Sea Universities Association Abel Maharramov, Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan Nikolay Ryabov and others stressed the importance of cooperation of member-states in the field of education noted that it would play an important role in development of science and education.
The Ministers of Education of BSEC member states adopted joint Baku declaration.
