CEC CHAIRMAN MEETS HEAD OF CIS PA ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION
Chairman of Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov met Tuesday with Ms. Svetlana Orlova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and head of CIS PA election observation mission, according to Independent Press Center under CEC.
The CEC Chairman told of the run-up for the presidential election.
He stressed all necessary measures were taken in the country to conduct free, fair and transparent election. He added webcams were installed in 10 percent of polling stations.
Svetlana Orlova, in turn, praised the election preparations in the country.
She described installation of webcams in polling stations as a very positive step. All countries including Russia should derive benefit from this experience, she added.
S. Orlova also praised the fact that all constituencies and polling stations throughout the country were provided with modern equipment.
