CEC CHAIRMAN MEETS MEMBER OF LATVIA’S CEC
Chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov met Monday with visiting Latvia’s CEC member Raymonds Olehno, Independent Press Center under CEC told AZERTAC.
The CEC Chairman briefed R. Olehno on political stability and dynamic economic development in Azerbaijan.
M. Panahov also told of run-up for the October 15 presidential election.
He stressed all necessary measures were taken in the country to conduct free, fair and transparent election.
Webcams were installed in 10 percent of polling stations, he added.
Raymonds Olehno, in turn, praised the fact that all constituencies and polling stations throughout the country were provided with modern equipment.
He also emphasized the necessity of studying and popularizing Azerbaijan’s election experience.
