Chairman of Accounts Chamber meets delegation representing SIGMA project

On June 17, chairman of the Chamber of Accounts Vugar Gulmammadov met with the delegation led by Daniel Ivarsson, Senior Advisor of SIGMA (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) project, jointly funded by the European Union and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Mr. D. Ivarsson expressed gratitude to the chairman for active participation and constructive proposals made by the representatives of the Chamber, in the seminar on activities in the field of public procurement, organized by SIGMA. The sides also discussed the issues on public procurement and their audits.
Speaking about the final opinions, SIGMA representative informed about the problems and solutions on the improvement of this area, opportunities of applying the results in all stages (planning, preparation of estimates, holding tenders, implementation of the contracts, external and internal audit) of the procurement process.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on technical documents of twinning project, prepared within the cooperation of the European Union and Chamber of Accounts, the last report on the assessment of public financial management.
The representatives of SIGMA project stressed that, they appreciate opportunity for cooperation with Chamber of Accounts and the importance of strengthening joint efforts in this direction.
