CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN CEC MEETS HEAD OF CIS OBSERVATION MISSION
On October 11, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov met with CIS Executive Secretary, Head of CIS Observation Mission Sergey Lebedev, the Independent Press Center said.
The CEC Chairman briefed Sergey Lebedev on preparation for the forthcoming presidential election. He stressed all necessary measures had been taken to ensure the holding of free, fair and transparent election.
Lebedev, in turn, said he inspected preparation for the election in Baku and Sumgait cities, adding the CIS Observation Mission did not face any serious violations during the monitoring.
Sergey Lebedev praised the fact all constituencies and polling stations across the country have been provided with modern equipment.
