CHAIRMAN OF CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION GIVES PRESS CONFERENCE
Chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov gave a press conference on Thursday to announce the voting returns.
Panahov said according to official results from 96% of the polling stations, Ilham Aliyev leads his rivals with the majority of votes, 88.64 percent.
According to CEC`s chairman, the percentage of votes cast for other six candidates is as follows:
Igbal Agazade - 2.87%
Fazil Mustafayev - 2.50%
Gudrat Hasanguliyev - 2.30%
Gulamhuseyn Alibeyli - 2.25%
Aliyev Fuad - 0.78%
Hajiyev Hafiz - 0.65%
