CHINESE AMBASSADOR DONATED BOOKS TO MUSEUM OF BIBELOTS
The Ambassador donated books of the ancient Chinese authors in miniature format to the Museum. Director of the Museum Ms. Zarifa Salahova expressed gratitude to the Chinese ambassador for the gifts, and familiarized the representatives of the Chinese Embassy and members of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Chinese Friendship and Cooperation Society led by academician Jalal Aliyev, who also visited the Museum, with the exposition, spoke of the history and scientific-publishing activity of the museum.
It was noted that there are unique issues of the ancient editions in the exposition of the Museum published in the foreign countries.
The guests admired at the stand with bibelots comprising speeches of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Secretary of the Society Rafig Abbasov spoke of the intensively developing relations between Azerbaijan and China in the cultural field after the visit of President Heydar Aliyev to China. Ambassador Chzhan Siun made notes in the Memory Book of the Museum and underlined the importance of the collection.
