CIS PRIME MINISTERS TO DISCUSS COMMONWEALTH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Aspects of the economic development of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member-countries will be in the focus of the forthcoming meeting of the prime ministers of the CIS member countries in Kyrgyzstan scheduled for April 15-16.

The talks will be held in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata located on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.

The participants in the meeting will consider a draft agreement on international certification of weighing processes for heavy trucks in the CIS states. The CIS prime ministers will also discuss the fulfillment of the financial commitments by the CIS member-states and the creation of a reserve fund for assistance to the states affected by emergency situations.

The prime ministers of Georgia and Turkmenistan have yet to confirm their participation in the meeting.
