CONCERT “GOODWILL ANGELS OF AZERBAIJAN” HELD AT UNESCO HEADQUARTERS
Azerbaijan Children Symphonic Orchestraq and Children`s Choir gave a concert "Goodwill Angels of Azerbaijan" on May 20 during the meeting of UNESCO goodwill ambassadors in Paris, UNESCO headquarters. The concert became possible due to the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. UNESCO Director General Koishiro Matsuura and UNESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva were present at the meeting.
The concert program started with the exhibition of pictures by Azerbaijani kids. Phoenix bird depicted in one of the pictures was selected a symbol of the event.
Participants also got a chance to get acquainted with the Azerbaijani cuisine presented here.
Prior to the concert, UNESCO Director General Koishiro Matsuura and UNESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva made their remarks.
The concert was accompanied by the film showing Azerbaijani nature, art, Oil Rocks, places of interest in Baku.
After the concert, Mehriban Aliyev hosted the official banquet in honor of UNESCO Director General and goodwill ambassadors.
