DONORS RESTORE MONUMENTS IN GAZAKH REGION
According to the project, specialists of the Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will draw plan on restoration of the monuments to be implemented due to the donor funds.
“Association put forward the very favorable initiative”, academician Teymur Bunyadov told AzerTAj correspondent. There is an ancient monument Geyazan, emerged as a result of eruption, in Gazakh region. There are only two similar monuments; the second is in India.
The world-known monuments of Stone Age have been also found on the territory of Gazakh region. Gazakh is the center of Kur-Araz culture on the Southern Caucasus. There is Sinig Kerpu, irreplaceable on its engineering solution, as well as numerous religious monuments. It is very necessary to restore these monuments and bring into notice of world’s community and future generations. The recovery works have to be carried out under consultations of scientists-specialists.
