EXIT-POLL: PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE ILHAM ALIYEV WINS LANDSLIDE VOTE
Presidential candidate Ilham Aliyev has won presidential election by a landslide, gaining 82.6% of vote cast, according to the exit-poll conducted by ELS Independent Research Center and Association for Assistance to Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan. Igbal Agazadeh was a distant second with only 5 per cent support. Exit poll gave Gudrat Hasanguliyev 4.21 per cent, Gulamhuiseyn Aliyev 3.58 per cent, Fazil Mustafayev 2.4 per cent, Fuad Aliyev 1.23 per cent, Hafiz Hajiyev 0.98 per cent. It put turnout at 70.6 per cent.
Final exit-poll results will be announced at the October 16 press conference.
