FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT OF RUSSIAN PRESIDENT TO TURKEY POSTPONED
In the message of the press-service of the Kremlin it is stated that on September 2, V. Putin had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkey A. N. Sezer. During conversation, the President of Turkey has expressed full understanding of the decision of V. Putin, having expressed warm sympathy and solidarity with the President of Russia and all the Russian people in connection with the tragic situation in the Northern Ossetia. The Turkish President has noted, that Turkey opposing of any forms of terrorism, most decisively condemns this barbarous act and expresses hope for the safe resolution of conflict.
The same day telephone conversation took place between President V. Putin and the Prime Minister of Turkey R. T. Erdogan who also has expressed support and solidarity to the President of Russia and all Russian.
It is necessary to note, that the management of Russia receives statements, phone calls with words of support and solidarity from all ends of the world. The world condemns the acts of terrorism accomplished for last 10 days in the territory of Russia.
In connection with the happenings, the Government of Moscow has cancelled all official and entertaining actions devoted to the Day of City. In the official statement of the Mayoral it is said that “The Government of Moscow with a pain marks, that for last 10 days Russia and its capital have undergone series of acts of terrorism as a result of which tens peaceful people were lost. Brutal capture by terrorists of schoolboys in the Northern Ossetia has responded deep alarm in the hearts of each Muscovite. In these conditions, capital authorities have made the decision to refrain from carrying out of official and entertaining actions on the Day of City”.
In connection with last acts of terrorism in Moscow, the capital authorities and law enforcement bodies undertake unprecedented security measures.
