FM Jeyhun Bayramov: Opening communications will contribute to region’s peace and stability

“The transit through Azerbaijan’s territory has grown by 75% since last year. Opening all the communications will contribute to peace and stability in the region,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov as he addressed the Caspian Connectivity Conference organized by the Caspian Policy Center.
Speaking upon the importance of the Zangazur Corridor, which has great potential to increase communications within the Middle Corridor, the minister said that Armenia puts obstacles to the launch of the project.
Jeyhun Bayramov mentioned Azerbaijan’s “green energy” cooperation with the European Union, saying an agreement to build an underwater cable between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, and Romania will re-draw the regional energy map and accelerate transition in the energy field in the participant states.
