FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS AMBASSADOR OF INDONESIA
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stated during the meeting that development of relationship with Indonesia on the base of mutually beneficial cooperation is of great importance to Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Amin Rianom noted he had arrived at the meeting with concrete proposals, and stated that his country is very interested in expanding links with Azerbaijan in a number of spheres. He pointed out that Indonesia attaches great importance to widening technical and economic relations with Azerbaijan, cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of double taxation, energy resources, manufacture of pulp and paper and electronic products, as well as mutual consultations between the international affairs departments. Pointing out Azerbaijan’s favorable geographic situation, the Ambassador stressed the need of conducting opinions exchange on the issues of mutual interest.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov mentioned Indonesia’s potential in other fields and emphasized the importance of taking joint efforts to establish relations in these spheres too.
Afterwards, the Head of the international relations Department provided the guest with detailed information on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the activities carried out for its peaceful resolution.
A number of other issues of mutual interest have been discussed during the meeting, as well.
