“HEYDAR ALIYEV CUP – 2008” BOXING TOURNAMENT STARTS IN BAKU
The “Heydar Aliyev Cup - 2008” international boxing tournament commenced Tuesday in Baku bringing together 128 young boxers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Ireland, Georgia, Israel, Germany, India and Uzbekistan.
During the tournament`s opening ceremony, the Azeri deputy minister of youth and sport Ismail Ismailov and president of Azerbaijan Boxing Federation Agajan Abiyev spoke of the governmental support of all kinds of sports in the country, including boxing.
