HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION AND SAVE THE CHILDREN SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
On January 25, Anar Alakbarov, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Geof Giacomini, Save the Children’s Country Director, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on uniting efforts towards development of children in Azerbaijan.
After the signing ceremony, Mr. Giacomini said his organization, which has been working in Azerbaijan for 15 years, aims to solve problems of refugee children in need related to social, health and education areas.
Joint efforts by Save the Children and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will be effective to get progress in this field, he said.
The Memorandum of Understanding intends joint activities to protect children by means of physical and psychosocial support, to show necessary care and to provide education, health and food.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founded in May 2004 in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, is the most active non-governmental organization in Azerbaijan. It realizes significant projects in the fields of culture, education, social life, health and ecology.
