HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION OPENS GIRLS SCHOOL IN PAKISTAN
Heydar Aliyev Foundation has opened Girls School in Pakistan’s Muzaffarabad city, AzerTAj’s Pakistan-based correspondent said.
Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov, head of Azerbaijan-Pakistan Interparliamentary Working Group Eldar Ibrahimov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli, Pakistani officials and teachers attended the event.
School was constructed in place of old one destroyed by earthquake in 2005. The school owns 10 classrooms, library and sports hall. Over 500 students will be able to study here. Total construction of the school came in at $ 750 thousand.
New school in Pakistan is the first educational institution in abroad built by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the framework of “ Support to Education” project.

During the visit, Azerbaijani delegation met with the head of Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority Altaf Salim.
Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov gave detailed information about activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Mr. Alakbarov noted that school built in Muzaffarabad city is a gift of the Foundation to friendly Pakistan people.
Mr. Salim thanked President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for rendering assistance to Pakistani government.

Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov also met with Chairperson of Pakistan’s Hashu Foundation Mrs. Sara Hashvani to discuss issues of cooperation.
Mr. Alakbarov told of projects being implemented by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, such as construction of schools, thalassemia center, assistance to blind and visually impaired persons, etc.
In conclusion, the sides agreed to sign agreement about cooperation between Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Hashu Foundation during the international conference on woman’s role in dialogue of civilizations, which is to be held in Baku, in June.
