IN HONOUR OF THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF LIBYA
Present at this action was the deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Vagif Sadigov, who conveyed to the Charge d'affaires of Libya in Baku Shukri Benhamad the congratulation of President Ilham Aliyev.
Then, Mr. Shukri Benhamad in his remarks on reception has expressed to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev gratitude for the congratulations, directed to the head of the state and people of Libya on the occasion of 35th anniversary of Great Revolution. The charge d'affaires has dwelt on the history of friendly ties existing between the two countries, the measures taken in the field of expansion and strengthening of the relations. The diplomat has emphasized, that Libya is interested in development of relations with friendly Azerbaijan. Libya also is concerned with tightening of settlement of the heaviest problem of Azerbaijan - the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Libya supports the peace settlement of the conflict within the framework of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The charge d'affaires has expressed hope for the further development of connections between our countries.
The Ministers, MPs, ambassadors of foreign countries in Baku, representatives of the public of capital took part in the reception.
