INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO ASHUG SHAMSHIR JUBILEE HELD
Doctor of philological sciences professor Ismayil Veliyev and professor Huseyn Ismailov, director of the Folklore Institute of the National Academy of Sciences that organized the conference wished a success to the conference.
Having appreciated President of Azerbaijan Republic’ order on holding of 110th jubilee of Ashug Shamshir as manifestation of attention and care of Heydar Aliyev for ashug art and its representatives as respect to spiritual past of Azerbaijan nation the speakers dwelt on invaluable services of Ashug Shamshir in development and enrichment of the ancient ashug art.
Having stressed the significance of conference from the point of studying of history of Azerbaijan, Turkish history, mythology speakers hoped such conferences to be held frequently.
The reports “Life and creativity of Ashug Shamhir”, “Technique in divans of Dede Shamshir”, “Topic of mountains in ashug poetry” etc were heard on the first day of the conference.
The conference is underway.
