Iraq win First World Military Football Cup
Baku, July 15 (AZERTAC). Iraq have claimed gold medal of the First World Military Football Cup in Baku after defeating Oman 3-2 in the final game.
The final match was controlled by Azerbaijani referees Rahim Hassanov and Zeynal Zeynalov and the United Arab Emirates` Saleh Al-Marzouqi.
The match was broadcasted by “Idman Azerbaycan” TV channel and official internet web-page of the championship (www.cism-wft2013.az).
Following the game a ceremony was held to announce best players of the tournament.
Azerbaijan`s Aqil Mammadov was named the Best Goalkeeper of the championship, while his teammate Nodar Mammadov won Fair Play award.
Awards were presented by Azerbaijani deputy minister of defense Chingiz Mammadov, president of CISM Hamad Kalkaba, chief of Central Army Sport Club Natig Aliyev, chief of Department of International Military Cooperation Ramiz Najafov, European vice-president of CISM Mesut Jerit, vice-president of National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan Khazar Isayev, secretary general of AFFA Elkhan Mammadov, and football veteran Isgandar Javadov.
