Israeli defense minister to visit Azerbaijan
Baku, April 4 (AZERTAC). Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak will visit Azerbaijan early May.
The visit aims to attend the “South Caucasus Forum” on May 6-8 supported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Club of Madrid.
Ehud Barak is expected to make a speech at the forum.
According to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the forum is also supported by the Library of Alexandria, Fundacion de Paz and Ganja city executive authority.
The event will bring together Queen Noor of Jordan, former Foreign Minister of Greece Dora Bakoyannis, former UNESCO Director Federico Mayor Zaragoza, director of the Library of Alexandria Ismail Serageldin, former presidents of Latvia Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, Valdis Zatlers, as well as former President of Turkey Suleyman Demirel, former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, leaders of about 50 countries, including Mauritania, Bolivia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Lithuania, Nigeria, Republic of South Africa, Portugal and Mexico.
The forum will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
