Opening pf the competition-show of paintings of the young artists devoted to Japan has taken place in the exhibition after Vajiha Samadova. The competition was organized by the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan together with embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan. Before opening of the exhibition, was arranged display of models of the Japanese national clothes, and the young artists ornamented colorful kimonos.

Chairman of the Union of Artists Farhad Khalilov, opening the exhibition, has reminded that competition of the figures devoted to Japan, is carried out in our Republic not for the first time. The first - has been carried out last year. Present competition was declared three months ago.

More than 200 pictures and sculptures were submitted to the contest. The plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan in Azerbaijan Toshiyuki Fujivara has expressed deep gratitude to everyone who has helped with the organization of this exhibition. Opening of competition of the exhibition of figures of Azerbaijani children will bring in the contribution to cultural exchange between our countries located on the Great Silk Road, Mr. Fujivara noted. He informed that on April 12, in Icherisheher one more exhibition of children's figure will take place and has wished success to children.

Diplomas and gifts have been presented to the winners of competition.
