JORDAN’S NATIONAL HOLIDAY MARKED IN BAKU
The Embassy of Jordan Hashemite Kingdom arranged an official reception on national holiday of this country - the Day of Independence, at the Baku Entertainment Center, 25 May.
After the anthems of both countries were performed, Ambassador of Jordan to Azerbaijan Mr. Adel Mohammad Adaileh spoke of the path the country passed after gaining state independence, underlining that during these years his country achieved great successes in the economic and cultural spheres, and that Jordan holds worthy place among the world community.
Expressing satisfaction with the expanding relations between the friendly countries - Jordan and Azerbaijan, the diplomat said that the reciprocal visits of the heads of state, meetings and talks at high level create favorable environment for development of bilateral relations.
As stated, the relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan were established thanks to the efforts of the prominent statesmen - Heydar Aliyev and King Hussein ben Talal. Today these relations successfully develop thanks to the heads of states - King of Jordan Abdullah II and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Ambassador of Jordan Adel Adaileh noted that in the frame of the visits of the heads of state, singed were many documents, in particular, in the field of economy, culture, trade, information and tourism.
The Ambassador of Jordan congratulated President of Azerbaijan and people of Azerbaijan on 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, wished dynamic progress and new successes.
Valeh Alaskarov, Vice-Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan on behalf of the Azerbaijan President congratulated the friendly people of Jordan on the landmark event, conveyed to the participants of ceremony the greetings and best wishes of President Aliyev.
Members of Parliament, ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in Azerbaijan, representatives of international organizations and public figures attend the ceremony.
