Junior Azerbaijani judo fighter becomes European champion

Baku, July 4 AZERTAC 

Junior Azerbaijani female fighter Shahane Hajiyeva (40kg) has won the gold medal of the European Judo Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria.

She secured the title after beating Romanian Lidia Marini.

Another Azerbaijani fighter Ismayil Ibrahimov scooped the bronze medal of the tournament.

The championships brings together 469 judo fighters from 41 countries.
