Kazakh President thanks Azerbaijan for excellent CICA chairmanship

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his sincere gratitude to Azerbaijan, describing it as Kazakhstan’s reliable friend, for its outstanding chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and its continued efforts to strengthen dialogue, trust, and partnership, as well as its contribution to enhancing CICA’s capacity. He made the remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the CICA headquarters in Astana.
President Tokayev wished success to all CICA member states.
“We have always been convinced that lasting peace, stability, and prosperity can only be achieved through cooperation, mutual understanding, and dialogue. In the modern context, the principle of strengthening confidence within CICA is more relevant than ever. Covering approximately 90 percent of Asia and representing more than half of the world’s population, CICA is an important and evolving component of the international relations architecture,” the Kazakh President emphasized.
