KOSOVO, NAGORNO KARABAKH: NO ANALOGY
"Kosovo is not a precedent and should not be a precedent for Nagorno-Karabakh," Mr. Jose Lello, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly stated at the meeting with the members of political parties represented at the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan.
Ali Ahmadov, Executive Secretary of YAP, MP, gave comprehensive information on the activity of Azerbaijan Parliament, the role of political parties in creation of legislative base and development of democracy.
Representatives of political parties shared their views on prospects of development of the relations between the NATO and Azerbaijan, on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other questions.
Mr. Jose Lello highly assessed stability and economic development in the country, as well as the work done to build democratic society in the country.
"Kosovo is not a precedent and should not be a precedent for Nagorno-Karabakh”, he emphasized. “There is no analogy between these two conflicts.”
In meeting, also discussed were other issues of mutual interest.
