Minister of Education Misir Mardanov met with spouse of US ambassador to Azerbaijan Leslie Harnish.

Mrs. Leslie Harnish dwelt upon the program for handicapped children. She noted that the National Program for the handicapped is based on the project of “World Vision” managed by her.

Minister of Education Misir Mardanov told of the care for handicapped persons shown by president of the fund “Azerbaijani Culture Friends” Mehriban Khanum Aliyeva.

The Minister noted that a working group was formed to prepare a five-year program on development of schools for handicapped children.

The meeting also revolved around the pilot pre-school education institutions involving handicapped children and examination of those studying in normal schools.
