MINISTER OF JUSTICE MET AMBASSADOR OF IRAN IN AZERBAIJAN
Having noted successful development of friendly ties between our countries, including cooperation in legal sphere, the Minister has reminded of the last year's visit to Teheran on the invitation of Minister of Justice of Iran and the useful meetings carried there, has emphasized that visit of the national leader of Azerbaijan people of Heydar Aliyev to Iran in 2002 has opened a new stage in development of relations between our states, that during the meetings in Iran he directly became the witness of historical value of this visit.
At the meeting, discussed were measures on execution of contracts concluded between the two countries on legal assistance, transfer of the convicted and ex-traditions, highly assessed fine organization of visit of the Minister of Justice of Iran Mohammad Ismail Shushteri to Azerbaijan in June of the current year and the reception by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Besides, it was with great satisfaction marked approval in September of this year by the head Azerbaijan of the Memorandum of mutual understanding on cooperation, signed within the framework of visit between the Ministries of Justice of two countries.
Having expressed gratitude for warm reception and useful exchange of opinions, the ambassador has emphasized, that leaves the country with the kindest feelings.
