MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES SUMS UP SIX MONTHS RESULTS

The sitting was opened by Minister, academician Ali Abbasov and then addressed by head of Ministry’s executive office Vidadi Zeynalov. For the reporting period, the incomes increased 35,7 percent to 700,4 billion manats in comparison with six months last year. The new automatic telephone exchange (26 thousand 500 numbers), 23 post offices, 25 television transmitters were launched for six months. Ministry invested 30,1 billion manats in the communications sector with 396 jobs opened. The salary rose 15 percent. The minimum wage in the Ministry amounted to 200 thousand, maximum wage - 1 million 800 thousand manats, average wage - 578 thousand manats. The digital technologies and equipment are being applied. Training center, Ganja Telecommunication department, Shaki, Lankaran, Guba, Geychay, Sumgait Telecommunication centers were connected to the videoconference service. 7-digit numeration was applied in the Baku city telephone network and automatic telephone exchange of Absheron district.
While discussing reports, keynoters analyzed the problems and drawbacks.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the data-processing center, group of employees were presented diplomas while deputy director Nizami Madatov was conferred the title “Master of Communications”
