MM CHAIRMAN MEETS AMBASSADOR OF BAHRAIN
It was mentioned during the conversation that the Kingdom of Bahrain Azerbaijan established diplomatic relation with in 1996, is situated in very important region, and that the two countries are closely cooperating in the framework of the Organization Islamic Conference.
The Milli Majlis Chairman informed the guest in detail on achievements gained by the independent Azerbaijan for the past years, the work carried out towards building democratic and legal state, as well as on reforms in all spheres of life, provision of human rights and freedoms, the process of the country’s integration into the global community, the structure of the Parliament and election system. Dwelling on the roots and hard consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Chairman Murtuz Alasgarov expressed hope support of the fair position of Azerbaijan in this relation by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Baku Kamil Saleh pointed out the existing possibilities to further develop historical religious, cultural and trade relations between the two countries. The diplomat told of the reforms carried out in his country for the last years, appropriate achievements, as well as updated the MM Chairman on the structure and activities of the Bahrain’s Parliament. The Ambassador said his country takes Azerbaijan as a gateway to the Caucasus, Central Asia, CIS and Europe.
In conclusion, Ambassador Kamil Saleh wished the people of Azerbaijan every success.
