Premier of Georgia Mr. Zurab Zhvania and president of the Italian company “Torno International” Jankarlo Elia Valor have signed a protocol on construction of the Girmizi Kerpu-Poti motorway, AzerTAj correspondent reports.

It is planned to allot for the construction approximately 2-4,5 million Euros, spokesman of the of motorway construction department said. In case of reconstruction of the existing road, the construction works will cost 2 billion Euros. If the Italian company will decide to construct six-strip motorway, it will need then 4-4,5 million Euros. Prior to construction of the road at length 390 km it is necessary to do preparatory works, draw project and find finance.

The new motorway will be paid. The Georgian side has the right to use the old motorway, too, for free of charge move.
